Description of the research topic:

In the context of this PhD thesis, the PhD student will address the complex understanding of the concept of space, its business and commercial implications: the extension and (re)interpretation of spaces and markets in business and commercial terms in geographic, online and hybrid spaces, and the implications and impact of this on commercial and corporate strategy.
The aim of the research is to show how the management of business and sales processes, understood in terms of space, can contribute to more efficient and effective operation of companies, whether in the short or long term.
In addition to the theoretical synthesis, the PhD thesis will focus on re-thinking the conceptual and model framework of multichannel commerce, and on using appropriate research methodology to identify practical evidence from domestic and international corporate practice.
Research questions:
1. Where and how can the spatial implications and linkages of trade be understood?
2. What is the spatial and spatial extent of business and trade processes?
3. How can a spatial perspective help to make commercial work more efficient?
