Description of the research topic:

Mentoring adults is generally conceptualized in the paradigmatic and theoretical framework of adult learning for CPD. However, it is not clear that this is consistently the case in empirical, practice-based research (Murray, 2005; Dolan, 2012). There is need for systematic analysis and review of national and International empirical findings to provide insight into the extent that adult learning theory informs the practice and self-conceptualization of mentors. Through this process, characteristics of how adult learning theory informs mentoring are explored and evaluated.

The topic belongs to the Teacher Education and Higher Education Studies (EDiTE) and Adult Learning and Education doctoral programs.
