Description of the research topic:
"Famous media personalities can considerably shape our preferences and attitudes. Attitudes towards generally recognized musicians, actors, athletes and influencers have been extensively researched in the past two decades. International research found positive associations between celebrity worship and lower levels of mental health, cognitive abilities, and social skills. The proposal involves the exploration of correlates in clinical and addiction science, and the investigation of individual differences in celebrity worship.
