This research topic focuses on the artwork as a time measuring instrument, a chronometer. During the changing historical ages a piece of art shows differently the relationship of human consciousness with the measurable and the immeasurable time, with the individual and collective recollection and the utopian ideas.
The subject of the research topic is to examine the attitude to time within the avant-garde, the neo-avantgarde and contemporary art.
The applicant has to posses a high level of art history knowledge, and to be able to successfully handle a critical questioning attitude.
Details about the research topic must be agreed with their own supervisor.
