Description of the research topic:

Nature – Human – Art is a possible reading of the world in which Man is the mediator, who grasses
the supernatural through his existence, activity and art.
This triple connection is a sensitive hierarchy that results in specific interactions on a mental and
physical level.
The subject of the theme is not the examination of the creative behaviour characteristic of natural
art, but rather the possible connection to and personal, intuitive attitude to nature by means of
expressions of sculpture. Contrary to the mimetic conception, which aims to provide the most
faithful expression of nature, this research emphasises the abstract, conceptual creative method.
This approach emphasizes the importance of thought, approaches metaphysics (see, for example,
Béla Hamvas's essay Metapoiesis.), reflecting on the transcendent nature.
It can be transformed in plastics by using the traditional (even now forgotten) toolkit of material
work or using a state-of-the-art medium.
I am therefore looking forward to the application of an aspirant who would like to explore the
subject outlined above from a nowadays still valid, personal point of view, by expanding the toolbox
and expressions of sculpture.
Details on the research topic must be agreed in advance with the supervisor.
