Description of the research topic:
Healthcare communication, with the doctor-patient relationship in the center, is often interpreted in the literature as a form of intercultural communication. The research focuses on the social-communicative aspects of the intercultural components of the physician-patient relationship, primarily through the analysis of healing-related communication situations of informants coming from different cultures. In this way, the linguistic and conceptual construals of both the intercultural competence in health care environment, and the role models, stereotypes related to social relationships play an important role.
