Description of the research topic:

Biomechanical, motor control and neurorehabilitation research. The aim is to develop and apply bionic methods and artificial motor control, in cooperation with health institutes, as the National Institute for Medical Rehabilitation, for substitution of lost motor functions for people who partially lost their motor functions due to central nervous system injury or lesion. The task towards this aim is to measure and analyze kinematic and bioelectric (as EMG, ECG, EEG) signals that occur in movements of healthy and injured people. Additional task is to foster medical rehabilitation research by applying the measured data, by modeling motor tasks and developing and implementing control algorithms, in cooperation with the Wigner Research Centre for Physics.
