Description of the research topic:

In view of the available research results, the question is in what context and how the available measurement or simulation data can be used more directly than before, preferably without the classical identification and modeling steps. In doing so, the research program does not focus on the so-called learning algorithms, which most often take the form of intelligent sensors based on some kind of image information, but the classical sensors and the control schemes based on them are emphasized in the design algorithms, e.g., adaptive, qLPV planning and analysis, frameworks. The basic question to be answered is: whether and for which tasks, the available large amount of data can be used in a more efficient way than through the indirect, identification-planning-validation scheme.
Research objectives:
- Designing a control algorithm based on data-based approaches that can be effectively used in vehicle dynamics tasks.
- Examination and evaluation of a control algorithm based on data-based approaches that can be effectively used in vehicle dynamics tasks.
- Investigating the existence and possibilities of efficient estimation and fusion procedures based on data-based approaches, beyond the various Kalman filter approaches.
