Description of the research topic:
Cancer, developmental disorders, trauma and other causes can lead to damage or missing facial bones. As a result of the lack of facial bones, significant functional (difficulty in chewing, swallowing, speaking, breathing) and cosmetic defects develop. We plan to reconstruct the face using 3D printing of different materials based on the patient’s skull CT and facial scanner data. The PhD topic focuses on developing a protocol for the entire work phase.
