Description of the research topic:

Our patients were underwent total laryngectomy (N=90). They wear HME (Heat moisture exchanger), larytube and in several cases: voice prosthesis. We Would like to measure the functional results. In this situation we use special industrial thermic camera, volumetric device, and spirometry. Voice analysis also will be performed with special microphones. Video reconstruction will be also performed. It is also a very interesting question that HME can give an FFP2 level protection or not. We would like to test the precise size of sampling site of Sars-Cov-2 virus: wether the trachea, the HME, or the nasopharynx, which is not involved in the respiration. Our study has been started, we have the permission of the institunial ethical board. Our study is being performed in cooperation with the Cybernetic Engeneering Department of University of Miskolc.
