Description of the research topic:
Some routinely applied intravascular contrast agents penetrate in cells and modify the structure of the actin cytoskeleton. The molecular mechanism and further effects of this process is unknown. Our research is focused on these important molecular issues and the possible pathological effects using wide variety of spectroscopic devices and microscopes. Ph.D. students can acquire many other technics as well that are not strongly related to their own research and they are expected to take active part in teaching at the Department of Biophysics.
