Description of the research topic:

The ancient Israelite community was consisted of different religious movements already in the time of the Hebrew Bible, and was further segmented after the Exile and in the Hellenistic-Roman period what could be investigated within the confines of this topic. Such movements are e.g. the prophets, the Levites, the priestly circles, Samaritans, Qumranites, Sadducees, Pharisees, Essens and the others.
