Description of the research topic:

Intelligent field robots, as the robots usually, use several, complex, connected software components for their functionality.
In this research topic we study the software components used or usable in intelligent field robots:
• what (intelligent) software (software components) are used in these robots?
• how intelligent are these software components?
• how are these components connected and form the robot control software?
• how and how easily can these software components be adapted to the needs of specific use cases?
• how to develop a software library and architecture to serve the various software needs of intelligent field robots?
The research proposal seeks to answer the questions above.
