Description of the research topic:
At the beginning of the research, the student learns about a number of current problems in geometry, and familiarizes themselves with relevant methods. Later on, they study questions of their choice. A few typical topics follow. How to cover the d-dimensional Euclidean space with translates of a given convex body? Quantitative versions of Helly's theorem.
