Description of the research topic:

Problem-posing is essential to high-quality mathematics instruction. Teachers must be capable of formulating and posing relevant problems to their pupils. The Ph.D. research aims to explore the traditions of problem-solving in the candidate country, its educational policy, its appearance in curricula, and its manifestation in school practice. Finally, the aim is also to explore the opportunities in the candidate's country to develop problem-posing skills and how teachers can be supported to pose worthwhile mathematical problems. The empirical part of the research will be carried out in the candidate's country, and the candidate must have the appropriate contacts and permissions in their own country.
