Description of the research topic:

Hazardous and municipal waste is generated continuously and in ever-increasing quantities, which is partly used for energy purposes. The slag generated after burning can only be disposed of in a landfill. The goal of the PhD research is to use the slag produced in waste incineration plants as a raw material. The slag contains a significant part of glassy phases and its composition is also suitable, so using it as a raw material for glass foam seems to be a good solution.
