Description of the research topic:

"Learning algorithm-based control of complex robotic systems is based on a long and slow sample collection process. This process can be accelerated in a number of ways, such as by progressively more difficult subtasks or by regulating the amount and quality of environmental information available to the agent during learning.
The main focus of the present research is to investigate how different sensory data as well as certain features of the environment or their gradual change can be utilized in motion control, grasping, and other robotic control tasks to achieve the shortest learning convergence time."
