Description of the research topic:

The annual and seasonal changes in mortality rates from external causes should be investigated in Hungary.
The number of deaths due to external causes should be analyzed based on published national population registers using generalized linear models (e.g., negative binomial regression). For aggregated monthly mortality data, cyclical (seasonal) trends should be examined using the Walter-Elwood method and negative binomial regression.
