Thesis supervisor: Róbert Tornai
Location of studies (in Hungarian): University of Debrecen
Abbreviation of location of studies: ITDI

Description of the research topic:

The aim of the research is to develop methods for making use of the emerging 5G mobile technology. The higher throughput and smaller latency makes it useful for not just the traditional purposes as voice or video calling or data transfer, but for the machine to machine communication also. The new field of the Internet of Things (IoT) can hugely benefit of this new telecommunication standard also. Smart home solutions benefit of the wireless solution. It helps the artificial intelligence applications also as the self driving cars or organize truck convoys for fuel consumption reduction. Security questions also arise, that shall be handled. Besides these, automation is a key use case for combining the two technique. The focus of the research work is to explore new areas of application, especially healthcare is a very current topic nowadays.
