Description of the research topic:

Syllabus
Time sensitive applications based on the IP NGN (Next Generation Network) network are providing reliable and reasonable quality communication services. The NWGN (New Generation Network) technologies are responsible to transfer data, voice, video and signals in a guaranteed time requirements. Signals produced by the sensors should be transferred with time constrains to the processing server and back to the actuators. This implies special M2M communication QoS tuning not only on the wired network but on the wireless access part, as well. Tuning aspects of the sensor network communication technologies existing in production and some new of them need to be analysed and new methods are required to provide seamless integration to the IPv4/IPv6 networks. The quality guarantees through the communication layers in vertical direction implies exact determination of the adaptation layer functions between the application and network layers. The QoS analysis of these functions is necessary and represents actual scientific challenges.
