Description of the research topic:

The research topic allows the examination of regional development topics in many aspects, and may include, in particular, the analytical presentation of:
 the role of each institution in governance and the management of local and regional development,
 comparative presentation and evaluation of theories related to regional development,
 local and regional development and policy intervention strategies,
 mapping solutions for creating policies,
 the organizational framework of regional administration, the role of different actors such as public, private and civil - and hybrid institutional forms, including public-private partnerships in shaping regional and local versions of development,
 the role of transnational corporations, in particular the emergence of global production networks and value chains and exogenous resources, and the local integration of direct foreign investments,
 analysis of regional developments’ impact on economic policies,
 local and regional developments in practice,
 the different dimensions of regional development in Africa in the fields o: energy, urbanization, consumption, infrastructural investments, intra-African migration, food security, agricultural economy or trade.
