Description of the research topic:

The current revolution of machine learning techniques offers enormous opportunities for applications in the field of geoinformatics and related sciences. New technologies like sensor networks, IoT, big data, drones and the latest remote sensing data require artificial intelligence to solve challenging contemporary problems at local, regional, and global scale.
Knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, machine learning techniques, mathematics and statistics and Python programming is advised for this PhD topic.
