Description of the research topic:

Brain-machine interfaces require constant physical contact between
the inner body space and the outside world. Such interfaces are
prone to infections that prevent long-term human use. The aim of
this PhD project is to develop and validate brain-machine interface
with skin integration that results in a functional barrier against
pathogenic particles.
