Description of the research topic:

Clinical and experimental research have validated that chronic pain modifies the nociceptive system significantly, threatening the quality of life and therapeutic possibilities for these patients. In the Translational Behavioral and Neuroscience Laboratory in the Department of Physiology the preclinical examination of different endogenous and exogenous ligands might be the first step in the introduction of novel therapies.
