A kutatási téma a giccs és a trash művészetével, valamint félművészeti, „outsider art”, naiv alkotóival és kulturális közegükkel foglalkozik. A hangsúly az esztétikai elemzés mellett elsősorban a kulturális kontextuson, az antropológiai megközelítésen alapul.
