Directors, topics and style of European silent cinema, with special focus on Transylvanian silent film (Jenő Janovics and his studio), formalist and realist film theories of the classic era (e.g. Münsterberg, Balázs, Epstein, Bazin, Kracauer, etc. their theories in the context of silent film era).
