Description of the research topic:

Interpretations in the conceptualist – nonconceptualist debate: conceptions of content and state. Semantical theories of conceptual content: inferentialism, conceptual role semantics, naturalism. Nonconceptualist arguments: belief-independence and fine-grained discriminations. The role and semantics of demonstrative concepts. The epistemological argumentation strategy for conceptualism. The „Myth of the Given” in Sellars, Davidson and McDowell. Nonconceptual content and phenomenal qualities. Nonconceptual theories: Peacocke and Evans. Kantianism and Hegelianism in contemporary theories.
