Description of the research topic:

Theoretical questions of social memory, particularly a critical examination of memory studies and trauma studies, including postcolonial perspectives. Analysis of contemporary textual and visual narratives in the above framework, with special attention to specific media, change of media, and the relationship of narrative to non-narrative forms, space, landscape and habitual memory.
