Description of the research topic:
Any problems that are connected to the philosophical problem of moral responsibility can be chosen. For instance, one can choose the issue of defining the notion of moral responsibility; the prospects of revising the notion of moral responsibility; the relation between moral responsibility and reactive attitudes; moral responsibility for actions, beliefs, omissions, emotions, desires, and/or character traits; the arguments for and against the existence of moral responsibility; the issue of the relation between moral responsibility and free will; the compatibility of moral responsibility and determinism; the compatibility of moral responsibility and indeterminism; philosophical investigations of exemptions and excuses; the critical investigation of any theory of moral responsibility.
