Description of the research topic:
Most proponents of modern Iranian literary and art history have become known either as writers/poets or artists, despite the fact that in the creative work of a number of them (e.g., Forough Farrokhzad, Sohrab Sepehri, Shirin Neshat) linguistic and meta-linguistic means of expression form a coherent whole. Aiming to regard these various aspects in totality, the research topic offers a novel approach to the study of the rich imagery of the Persian tradition.
