Description of the research topic:

Pronouns are used to refer to various entities in linguistic discourse: people, objects, spatial and temporal relations, propositions, etc. They provide a particularly interesting field where the interaction of various linguistic levels, such as syntax, semantics, pragmatics, can be investigated. Research here may focus on questions such as the following. What kinds of pronouns (personal, demonstrative, reflexive etc.) are used for what referential purposes? What are the morphosyntactic properties of particular pronouns? How do syntactic, semantic and pragmatic factors determine the form and usage of pronominals? What cross-linguistic generalizations can be obtained about the behavior of pronouns?
