It is known, that ventricular repolarization disturbances (including heart rate-corrected QT [QTc] prolongation and increased QT dispersion that describes the spatial heterogeneity of repolarization) may lead to sudden cardiac arrest. The short-term variability of the QT interval (STVQT) was introduced as an early and sensitive indicator of repolarization instability and in previous experimental and clinical studies it more reliably predicted ventricular arrhythmias and sudden cardiac arrest than the prolongation of repolarization.
With measurements of cardiovascular consequences of autonomic neuropathy (AN) the presence and severity of the neuronal dysfunction can be characterized. In our labor the assessment of the gold standard Ewing-tests is available.
The complex evaluation of the peripheral sensory neuropathic condition with the help of Neurometer, Neuropad-test, Tiptherm, Monofilament and Rydel-Seiffer tuning folk is also avaiable.
The goal of our investigation is the complex analysis of these parameters in physiological and pathophysiological circumstances.
