Description of the research topic:
The take-up of polyurethane-based products in various industries is very significant. Increasingly stringent environmental regulations in recent years are posing a growing challenge to developers. Doctoral research in the field of "soft foam" technology focuses on the design, synthesis and testing of new catalysts and additives. The use of polyurethanes has already been wide-ranging, but new applications are opening up as the properties of the products are further modified. The technical backbone of the research is the Polyurethanes Small Plant and associated laboratories.
