Description of the research topic:

Syllabus
The aim of the research is to develop methods for supporting clinical decision makers by processing still image data, primarily ultrasound images. One of the main tasks is to find the extraction of anatomic parts and lesions on images recorded by clinical equipments. Furthermore, perimeter, area and volume computation and optimization is a key area in our work. The research focus is on the evaluation of ultrasound images and we try to generalize the solutions. Concerning the developed methods, the implementations shall be parallelized in an effective way. During the research the following languages and APIs will be compared: fix pipeline of OpenGL, GLSL, OpenCL, Mantle API, Vulkan API and in web browsers the WebGL and WebCL systems.
