Description of the research topic:
The contemporary social, economic and technological processes pose challenges to urban development. At the same time, they also present new opportunities. The key elements of the research are the following: the identification of these chalenges and opportunities; the possibilities for adaptation of new initiatives; the spatial relevance of the above mentioned processes and ideas. The researches can have various foci: e.g., the challenges of participation in urban development; the processes of smart urban development; new institutional or organizational structures; issues related to green urban development. The researches can have methodological, practical or theoretical focus.
