Description of the research topic:

The initial problem*
Dangerous industrial activities are the basis of many indispensable chemical processes, everyday and essential for maintaining the current standard of living. Industrial, agricultural activities, energy production, research, transport of hazardous materials all carry a small but measurable risk. The extent of their likelihood, as well as the impact of an incident that has occurred, needs to be determined by advanced, fast, accredited, validated tools and methods for the most effective intervention or prevention.
Nowadays, in Hungary, there are approximately 25 industrial accidents per year involving hazardous substances. Which can result in long-term contamination of soil, water, and air, as these closely related environmental elements interact in a continuous, natural cycle. Accidents involving hazardous materials, when released from hazardous materials, can pose significant pressures on areas in direct human contact. When extreme pollution occurs, it has an immediate negative impact on the population. Therefore, research and development on ways to modernize tools and procedures to reduce industrial accidents in the presence of hazardous substances and the effects of their elimination on the environment and on nature are of major importance.
Research objectives:
Presentation and disaster management analysis of chemical, biological and radiological / nuclear industrial accidents based on available national and international literature;
Examining the application, methods, systems of chemical, biological, radiological / nuclear detection units used in disaster management and presenting opportunities for improvement;
Analytical Investigations: Summary of Environmental Analysis Capabilities for Water, Soil and Air Samples with Disaster Management Tools and New Analytical Capabilities
Systematic summary of industrial activities that endanger the state of the human environment; Description of industrial accidents with significant environmental pollution over the past decade (national and international examples).
New scientific results to be achieved::
Based on the summary examination and evaluation analysis of system systems and methods in the field of disaster prevention, including industrial safety reconnaissance, damage prevention and remediation, the individual research and development activity aimed at exploring development opportunities in water quality, air quality and air quality in order to protect it more effectively.
