Description of the research topic:
The aim of this doctoral research topic is the synthesis and characterization of nanostructures (typically 1D nanomaterials). In addition to basic research, the detailed characterization of these materials is also required in terms of applications, including wetting and evaporation properties. These properties can be modified and tuned, for example, by functionalization or addition of hydrophilic / hydrophobic components.
The doctoral topic also includes the study of the applicability of these nanostructures in different fields (e.g. sensorics).
