Description of the research topic:

The regulation of the cerebral blood flow response to neuronal activation is subject to adaptational changes with aging. The goal of the research is to evaluate the structural changes of the cerebrocortical blood vessel architecture in the aging brain; and to unravel how the structural alterations may impact on cerebrovascular function.
