Description of the research topic:

he evolution from Latin to the Medieval Romance languages is characterized by a radical transformation of the morphosyntactic structure: the system of the grammatical categories changes, new syntactic constructions replace the old ones; this evolution continues after the end of the Middle Ages period, too. The changes affecting a particular grammatical category or syntactic construction can be studied from a comparative point of view or in the history of a single language.
