Description of the research topic:

Despite the fact that foreign language teaching usually is a classroom-based process, there are very few studies concentrating on language teachers’ beliefs and motivation. I am interested in receiving PhD students in the following areas: what views teachers express pertaining to their own roles, what language learning and teaching beliefs they have and what characterizes their own motivation.
