A témakörön belül lehetőség nyílik a magyarországi bolgár közösség történelmi, kulturális antropológiai, nyelvhasználati (kétnyelvűség) jellemzőinek feltárására, illetve a magyarországi bolgár irodalom kutatására (ennek részét képezi a bánáti bolgárok irodalmi tevékenysége is).
