Borders, border regions and cross-border co-operations have different attributions and roles and function in diverse ways all over the world. Researching the topic provides opportunity to compare state borders and border issues between continents and within continents. In addition to the theoretical and practical approaches, the study of geographical networks and functional cooperation structures highlights contextual relations with regional policy.
