Description of the research topic:

The economy is a complex adaptive system which can be described with the tools of network theory. As a result, advances in network theory can be easily utilized in the description of economic phenomena. Revealing, analyzing and modeling the different layers of network connections among different sets of economic agents can lead us closer to a better understanding of several economic phenomena and the explicit modeling of these connections may lead to better models in the field of micro and macroeconomics. The research field focuses on various aspects of economic stability and tries to analyze and model this issue with tools collected from network theory, game theory and standard economic modeling.
