A kutatás abból a felismerésből indítható, hogy a színház bizonyos szempontból mindig chora-szerű. Lehmann koncepcióját követve a kutatás arra fókuszál, hogy a polilogikusság, az "egységgel és a központi jelentéssel szembeni engedetlenség” színházi formáit tárjuk fel.
