Description of the research topic:
Stable nitroxide free radicals are special heterocyclic compounds with unpaired electron containing moiety. These compounds met many applications including spuin labeling, spin trapping or constructions of paramagneteic/ferromagnetic materials. The aim of PhD thesis is adopting new strategies for carbon-carbon bond formation reactions in the presence of stable nitroxide free radicals. We would like to focus on CH functionalization, cross-coupling reactions, ring closing reaction catalyzed by metals.
The applicant primary responsibility will be carry out new synthetic procedures, isolate, purify and characterize the new products.
The work will cover active participation in a review paper writing as well.
