Description of the research topic:

Our group has been working for years with the preparation and applications of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). There are many groups around the world also working in this area, but important scientific details are still lacking for the better understanding and utilization of these interesting polymers. The applicant will study the binding mechamism of MIPs by analytical, physicochemical and synthetic methods. The goal is to make MIPs with excellent properties in chromatography, sample pretreatment, binding assays, sensors and chiral separations.
