Description of the research topic:

The cultural complexity of Celan’s poetry is a well known phenomenon. His lyrical work was crucially influenced by the East Slavic (Russian, Ukraine), the Rumanian, and the Yiddish languages and cultures. The candidate aims to examine from one particular aspect the cross-cultural interferences of the interculturally determined nature of Celan’s oeuvre, as well as their role in the multiplication of meaning.
