Description of the research topic:
Electrospinning has been widely used for creation of nanofibers for filters, medial applications, manufacturing of nonwoven textiles and various other applications. Its most profound limitation is the relatively low amount of material that it can produce compared to other fiber manufacturing methods. In most cases, the technology is used in the basic original arrangement. Preliminary experiments show, that changing the feeding voltage type, electrode arrangement and electrification method can yield with higher throughput, still satisfactory fiber quality. The goal of the research is to investigate solutions beyond the already known techniques for electrification, fiber generation and fiber direction.
