Abbreviation of location of studies: GET

Description of the research topic:

Nowadays, the accelerated world requires rapid reaction to market changes in product development as well. Computers have become an indispensable tool in everyday life, with the help of them sophisticated calculations that could not be solved at the beginning of the last century, now can be completed in a few hours. Computer software over the last few decades have been through such a large-scale development that they provide an indispensable help in the engineering process. The detailed design phase of the whole design process is supported by computer applications in every possible way. However, conceptual design phase is not well supported by computer. During conceptual design, the mechanical engineer deals with the systematization of ideas, examines similar existing solutions and makes suggestions for new solutions. From these, he selects the concept of the solution that suits best to the given parameters. This work is not currently supported by software or applications and research is still in its infancy. The research task is to explore, evaluate and improve existing software.
