Description of the research topic:

Video assisted minimal invasive thoracoscopy (VATS) became very often-used technique worldwide in the last decades. Traditionally the lungs are isolated from each other and positive pressure mechanical ventilation. Nevertheless a novel anaesthetic technique, (non-intubated thoracoscopic surgery, NITS) can be performed by combination of special intravenous and regional anaesthetic techniques with preserving of the spontaneous breathing. This technique gives chance to decrease the perioperative stress hereby diminished the numbers of perioperative complications.
